Nu groove at Tropos

Tropo’s nightclub is one of Cairns longest running clubbing icons since first opening back in the late Eighties. Once again, to keep with changing time and tastes Tropos has had a makeover...

With new management and the injection of the infamous DJ Chooky Trops is taking position to start pumping out the best funky commercial dance music in Cairns. This now see’s the venue stepping towards a funkier dance territory.

The gangster grind has been replaced by a fat, fresh, funky and faster sound which is both infectious and addictive. With a reputation which spans as far as the venue, Chooky is set to pump things up with his personal selection of up front funk, house, electro, breakbeats and NRG keeping the club electrified.

With the venues sound system freshly tweaked and pumping, awesome lighting show and Cairns largest balcony, Tropo’s is set to be here for a long time yet, with a fresh direction pushing it headlong into the future.

You can catch DJ Chooky pumping out the freshest sounds every week from Wednesday to Sunday night from 10 p.m. at Tropo’s nightclub, right in the centre of the city.
